300g boiled chickpeas
1 Knorr seasoning cube
2 tbsp oil
1 inch cinnamon
3 cloves
2 cardamom
2 medium onion (ground to paste)
1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
3 medium tomatoes (ground to paste)
1/4 tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp chilli
1 tsp coriander
1/4 tsp cumin powder
2 cups water
A handful of coriander leaves
Salt to taste
1. Heat oil in a pan, add cinnamon, cloves and cardamom. Add the onion paste and saute till brown, then add ginger-garlic paste
2. Add tomato paste, salt and fry till the tomatoes are well cooked. Add the Knorr seasoning cube, turmeric, coriander powder, chilli powder, cumin powder, and cook in simmer until oil separates from the masala.
3. Add the boiled chickpeas, salt, enough water and mix well. Take out a small portion of the mixture and grind it into a puree and add to the curry. Stir well and serve hot.
