Chili Mushroom

Recipe serves: 4-5 | Preparation Time: 20 Minutes | Cooking Time: 10 Minutes

Ingredients

Mushroom - 500g

Knorr seasoning cube - 1

Garlic chopped - 3 cloves

Flour - 1 cup

Turmeric - 1 tsp

Chili powder - 1 tsp

Oil to deep fry

Soya sauce - 4 tbsp

Tomato sauce - 4 tbsp

Sugar - 2 tbsp

Water - 50ml

Dried whole chili - 10

Oil to deep fry

Method

1. Mix flour, turmeric, chili powder and mix with water to make a semi thick batter. Dip mushrooms in batter and fry till golden and crisp. Set aside

2. In a separate pan add 1 table spoon of oil. Then add garlic and sauté till fragrant. Add dry chili soy sauce, tomato sauce, sugar and 50ml of water. Mix well and bring to boil. Don’t forget to add the Knorr seasoning cube.

3. Finally add fried mushroom and mix well. Season to taste with salt and add extra sugar if desired. Serve hot.

Chef's Tip

Mix a teaspoon of corn flour in water and add to soya sauce mixture to make the sauce thick if necessary.
